days: Beijing /Wuhan/ Yangzi River Cruise/ Chongqing/Guilin /Hong Kong
Day 1 Depart for
Beijing, the capital of China.
Day 2 Beijing
Arrive Beijing. You are greeted and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 Beijing
Begin the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the world largest. Then,
move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the "Forbidden City"
that symbolizes the imperial and traditional China. After lunch, you will
go to visit the enchanting Summer Palace, one of China's largest and best-preserved
imperial gardens. A Peking Duck banquet concludes your first full day

Day 4 Beijing
Today's highlight is your visit to the Great Wall, symbol of Chinese civilization.
On the way back, make a stop at a mountain village and meet local residents.
At the foothills, is the statue-lined Shenlu (Spirit Road) leading to
the Ming Tombs. Afternoon, you will visit Temple of Heaven, the place
where the emperors of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties
worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. Go to Beihai Park
this evening to sample the imperial cuisine at the famous Fangshan Restaurant,
followed by a Peking Opera show. (B-L-D)
Day 5 Beijing-Wuhan
Explore some of Beijing's old "hutongs", traditional courtyard
residences cut into blocks by narrow alleyways. Here you will have chance
to visit some families who have lived in the courtyard houses for generations.
Fly to Wuhan in the afternoon and view the fantastic exhibits of the Hubei
Provincial Museum. Board the Cruise Ship after dinner preparing for Yangzi

Day 6 Yangzi River
Cruise
Today you start your cruise upstream from Wuhan. Your ship will dock at
Yueyang, a bustling city sitting on the south bank of the Yangzi River.
Explore the famous Yueyang Tower and active local markets. Back on boat
in the evening, party and socialize with your fellow travelers at the
captain's welcome banquet. (B-L-D)
Day 7 Yangzi River
Cruise
Today you are going to see the Three Gorges Dam up and close with the
construction work still going on. Take an excursion to Three Gorges Dam
and Locks, the world's largest hydroelectric project and the newest attraction
on the Yangzi cruise line. Beyond the dam lies the longest of the Three
Gorges -- Xiling Gorge (B-L-D)
Day 8 Yangzi River
Cruise
The highlight of today's cruise is to be thrilled at one of China's greatest
natural wonders -- the extraordinary Three Gorges of Yangzi River, featuring
towering peaks and sheer cliffs. The gorges began to form 70 million years
ago when two mountain ranges collided and the river began to erode the
gorges to their present state. The appeal of the Yangzi lies not only
in its natural beauty but also in the cultural and historical significance
the river has embedded in the nearby towns and villages. Discover the
hidden charm in the lesser gorges by boating on the Daning river and listening
to locals telling legends of the old times. (B-L-D)
Day 9 Yangzi River
Cruise
Today's activity features a shore excursion to Fengdu, popularly known
as the "Ghost Town". Visit Ming Hill's unique temples with statues
of ghosts and devils, and listen to the explanations on the strange and
mysterious taboos and customs associated with these ghost temples. (B-L-D)
Day 10 Chongqing-Guilin
Cruise ends in Chongqing. Fly to Guilin, one of China's most beautiful
cities. Visit Fubo Hill for a panoramic view of Guilin and Seven Star
Park for its huge caverns and charming pavilions. In the evening, enjoy
an ethnic song and dance performance. Check in Hotel. (B-L-D)
Day 11 Guilin
Visit the Elephant Trunk Hill in the morning. Then get on a motorboat
for a 4 hour Li River cruise, which stretches 83 kilometers from Guilin
to Yangshuo. The cruise will give you a chance to savor the lovely view
of the area's extraordinary limestone peaks. The cruise ends in Yangshuo.
Visit local markets, souvenir shops and restaurants. Return to Guilin

Day 12 Guilin-Hong
Kong
Enjoy some relaxing time this morning. Later go to visit the Ludi Cave
with its elaborate naturally formed Crystal Palace of the Dragon King,
capable of holding a thousand people. Also, stop by the Diecai Hill, dotted
with interesting ancient sculptures and carvings. Take an afternoon flight
to Hong Kong, Asia's busiest port and major financial center. Check in

Day 13 Hong Kong
Today you will take a half-day guided tour of the Hong Kong Island. Climb
to the top of Victoria Peak for spectacular views of Kowloon, the harbor,
and the South China Sea. Visit the tranquil fishing village of Aberdeen,
where life style seems unchanged for centuries. Also tour the beautiful
Repulse Bay with sandy beaches. Enjoy a traditional Cantonese dim sum

Day 14 Hong Kong
Transfer to the airport today and board your homebound flight. (B)
